VEHICLE & OWNERSHIP GUIDES

Buses & freight

Different transport missions need different operating evidence.

Passenger timetables and freight loads differ.

For buses, timetables, layovers, passenger demand and depot access shape a useful pilot. Freight operations add payload, route restrictions, loading windows and utilisation. Neither category should borrow passenger-car consumption or charging assumptions without evidence.

Read mode-specific market evidence.

The IEA records growth across larger electric transport categories, with very different regional patterns. Market growth does not establish whether a particular route, depot or vehicle is ready. Our tools accept your supplied values; an actual operator study must establish the evidence behind them.

Treat the site as an operating system.

Vehicle schedules, charging access, power capacity and incident response interact. Use Charging Window for a first energy balance and Fleet Readiness to record missing evidence. Commission the appropriate engineering and operational assessment before committing the route.
